As we recognize that Geoinformation is multidisciplinary in nature our ethical responsibility extends to the public, to our clients and to our peers, we acknowledge and identify the basic values of integrity, competence equality and social awareness and uphold values in Nigeria in particular and the world at large.
A corporate member shall be an organization registered under Companies and Allied Matters Act,2004 which has fulfilled the requirements for enrollment as a Member under Article 3.8 of this constitution.
The Society shall confer honorary membership on any eminent scientist in any discipline of Geoinformation or on any person considered and distinguished as having contributed immensely to the growth, sustenance or development of the society. an honorary member shall not be a voting member of the society.
A student member shall be a person pursing full time undergraduate course in a recognized university, college or polytechnic in the production, management, analysis and application of Geoinformation, and other related fields.
A sustaining member is a mixture of humans and organization with an interest in the objectives of Geoinformation Society of Nigeria or who supports the objectives of the society, wishing to provide financial support to the work of the society. A sustaining member shall not be a voting member of the society.
A member shall be an individual who is a graduate of recognized tertiary institution offering training programme in the production, management, analysis and application of Geoinformation. he/she shall be entitled to all right to vote, be voted for and the right to hold office.
